Rochon was raised in Torrance. She was the daughter of Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) as well as Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Ullerup was cast as Julia Brynn, a character in the remake show Battlestar Galactica that aired 2006 on Sci Fi Channel. She was Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the TV show Sanctuary up until her character was written out. Fans were enraged by her departure and would like to see her back in the next shows. Sanctuary ended in 2012 but not without there was a heated debate. Ullerup was Bree O'Brien, in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. Ullerup's recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series has been Dale Travers since 2016.
