Charisma Carpenter

In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to subdue them using a gun. Her friends as well as Hubbard were shot at during the struggle. Hubbard fled the scene but both of her companions were able to escape. Hubbard was arrested, convicted, sentenced to 56-years in prison for a number of assaults. Carpenter stole Hubbard's flashlight an official police flashlight, off the shore. The flashlight was an important element of evidence against Hubbard.
